Photography Tour or Cave Photography Workshop
- Duration: 4 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Mole Creek, Tasmania
- Product code: PRYBXH
If just taking a few snapshots by phone or compact camera as you go just doesn't cut it for you, consider booking a half day trip as a dedicated Photography Tour. You'll be able to indulge your passion for looking down the lens and learning or honing your cave specific techniques from an expert. Using a tripod is allowed, because you won't be delaying any snapshot people on a normal Tour.
Bring your own protective case(s) for your DSLR and equipment. Note: changing lenses in a cave is not advisable. Bring your favourite 40-50 mm lens or a zoom e.g. 24-105 mm. If you are into macro photography, consider bringing a second camera or just focus on macro for the trip.
Specialist lighting and your own lighting "slave" (your friendly instructor) are provided. Tripods, DSLR camera backpack and compact camera protective case are available on request. Let the operator know your previous experience in nature photography: we can make it a workshop on techniques as and if required. However, I will always be able to help with cave specific photography tips.
This is a morning trip finishing with lunch, unless we make other arrangements. Duration is normally from 8.30 to approximately 12.30 pm. Winter start is 9.00 (June, July, August). Tour minimum two people. A half day trip goes very quickly when you're taking photos. Of course, you can always ask for a full day photo trip, giving you before lunch and after lunch caves/options. Phone or email the operator to inquire.
